Aztec’s Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) program prepares healthcare workers with the skills needed to perform the duties of a medical coder and biller, including coding various medical diagnoses, procedures, or symptoms which are then submitted to Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance companies in order to receive reimbursements.

Aztec’s CBCS preparation course builds the billing and coding skills that are essential for workforce entry. Students learn how to isolate pertinent information from patient medical records and turn that information into clinical documentation to be used during the billing process.
